Mason City Motor Speedway washed out June 27

June 27, 2021

The Mason City Motor Speedway has canceled the events slated for Sunday, June 27.

It's a beautiful day for racing in Mason City. Unfortunately, the warm temperatures and minimal wind will not allow track officials to prepare the racetrack properly or safely in time for tonight's Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series show.

The track is extremely soft with more than 3.5 inches of rain this week.

We will be restructuring our schedule and adding some races to make up for lost dates.

Our next race will be Sunday, July 11, when the track hosts the Joel Showalter Memorial presented by Window World. The event will feature USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and Outlaw Mini Mods.

The fire-breathing Modifieds of the Summit USMTS National Championship fueled by Casey's will be here the following Sunday, July 18, for the second running of Mod Mania.

The Mason City Motor Speedway is a 1/3-mile clay oval located 5.1 miles east of I-35 at exit 194 on SR 122 (at the North Iowa Fairgrounds).
