Wrightz Auction Company, formerly known as Gilbert’s Sale Yard, has been Floyd, Iowa’s locally owned auction house for decades.

Before Scott and Lisa Wright purchased the company in 2017 from Lisa’s parents, Randy and Janice, the Gilberts had acquired it from Chuck Thorson, founder of Chuck’s Sale Yard.

Ever since the 1980s, northeastern Iowa and southeastern Minnesota have been able to count on the sale yard’s reliably professional auctions and outstanding customer service.

Still doing business at its original location, Wrightz Auction Company has become a landmark in Floyd.
