Records were made to be broken.

And every speed record at the Mason City Motor Speedway is likely to be obliterated this Sunday, June 19, when the fire-breathing 410 Winged Sprint Cars of the National Sprint League invade the legendary speedplant at the North Iowa Fairgrounds.

It's been nearly three decades since 410 Sprint Cars circled the half-mile track, and this event is sure to see any and all track records fall when the winged machines hit the throttle.

Speeds of more than 120 mph are expected.

Craig Dollansky has captured two of the six NSL features so far this season. Danny Lasoski, Brian Brown, Kerry Madsen and Terry McCarl won the other four.

Others expected to challenge for Sunday's $5,000 top prize include Ian Madsen, Brooke Tatnell, Davey Heskin, Tasker Phillips, Dakota Hendrickson, Bronson Maeschen and former World of Outlaws champion Sammy Swindell.

In addition to the 410 Winged Sprint Cars of the National Sprint League, race fans will also see a complete program featuring USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks.

Spectator gates open at 5 and the green flag waves at 7. Fans are encouraged to get there early to get their choice of seats.

General admission tickets are $20 in advance by calling 515-832-6000 and picking up tickets at the track's will-call window. Tickets are $25 on race day. Juniors ages 11 through 16 an seniors ages 65 and older get in for $15 and kids 10 and under are free. Pit passes are $35.
